July 21-23 it’s Duck season in Oklahoma: the Dire Ducks are playing two contras and two English dances in Stillwater and Oklahoma City. Come dance to these incredible musicians — back by popular demand!
The Dire Ducks are Michael Black on mandolin, Alice Boyle on fiddle, and Robert Rosenberg on guitar and banjo. Bringing together diverse influences ranging from bluegrass to Celtic, classical to folk, they create high-energy, laughter-filled magic wherever they play.
Dances will be called by Louise Siddons and Megan Wilson.
Stillwater: $5 ($4 students) for live music/dancing 8-11pm; free introductory dance workshop from 7:30-8. Come to dance or just to listen! The Stillwater Community Center is at the corner of 9th and Duck St in Downtown Stillwater.
